Henry Lehr built his business on quality, craftsmanship, and personal relationships, shaped by his early experiences in Austria, where his mother sewed the family’s clothing, and in Spain, where he worked with leather artisans. His innate ability to connect with people—manufacturers, wholesalers, or customers—set him apart. This spirit continued with his son Alex, beginning their collaboration on Elizabeth Street in Nolita, NY. In 2004, Alex and his wife Shannon took over the brand, maintaining its integrity while updating it for a modern audience. In 2007, a partnership with a Japanese textile company elevated the collection with premium fabrics, expanding its reach both in the U.S. and internationally.
